Little Not-So-Black Dress

Every woman knows that a little black dress completes the list of wardrobe must-haves.  Defy the rules: Be the diamond among the black dresses.

The best part: All of these are dresses made in the USA.

PSA: Because your best girlfriend may or may not tell you and your spouse or date may be afraid to:  Some dresses more than others require certain.......how shall we say it - undergarments.  The undergarments that lock and load everything properly, as in no panty lines, a smooth mid-section and your top half accentuates not steals the show because they were getting ready to pop out at any minute.  Wear a dress that is your ACTUAL size, not your PERCEIVED size.  You will look beautiful and thinner.  Squeezing into something too small will show everything that you don't want to show and we don't want that to happen and quite frankly, we don't want to stare at it.

  1. Great dresses. Girl, you are so right...undergarments please!! I am a big fan and believer of Spanx. The backside of me is not pretty without them. :)

    Lots of love to you.

    1. Hi Marci,
You make me laugh. It's so true, though. Undergarments can sometimes make or break a great outfit. Let's put the conversation out there not our business! Thank you for stopping by and making me laugh with your comment. Great to have you back.

  2. I agree! Let's put some color in our lives! Who says only black makes you look slimmer?

    1. Hi Vicky,
AMEN! Let's put some color in our lives! Black doesn't make you look thinner. It's wearing the correct size, wearing a style that fits your body type, and, as I mentioned in the post, wearing the proper undergarments. Colors light up a lady. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I especially take a great compliment since you are in Greece and know what brilliant colors are all about.

    1. Thank you for stopping by. I'm so glad that you love the dresses. I tried picking dresses that would fit different body frames, including plus sizes (the first three). I did love the recipe. I put it in my favorites to make.

    1. Hi Jayme,
I'm so glad that you love the dresses and the advice. Things change, though, when your belly is ever-expanding. Play up that belly. It's probably the only time when you're allowed to.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
